Procédé de teinture traditionnelle ayant voyagé entre les pays et les cultures à travers le temps, le Batik a connu son apogée en Indonésie d’où son nom dérivé du mot Javanais “tik". 

La technique démontre l’histoire et les savoir-faire riches du pays de par son utilisation habillant nombre de tissus de couleurs et ornements variés.
